Judy malware spread on the Play Store



The security company "CheckPoint" announced the discovery of malicious software spread among the users of the Android operating system through malicious software in the official online store of Google "Google Play Store", which is a serious breach of security rules of the company.

CheckPoint pointed out that this malicious software has spread widely among users of the Android system, where the number of infected devices to more than 36.5 million devices, and the new malicious software name Judy, in relation to the main application, which 
spread out of this software is a "Chef Judy "which has been downloaded more than 18 million times.
But CheckPoint has confirmed that malicious Judy software is also available in 41 other applications, all of which are in the official Google Play Store, most of which are produced by South Korean company Kiniwini. Although these applications do not have any malicious software However, after they are downloaded by the users, these applications update from Khodam in the command and control category, and malicious code is inserted into the users' phones.

According to the security company, Judy malicious software generates fraudulent clicks on ads, which is in the interest of those who are on this software, where they generate advertising revenue for them.
