Facebook may launch an instant messaging application for teens named Talk
The Information site monitored a set of codes within the official Facebook web application that indicated a new Talk-oriented application for instant chat between teens only.
According to the code, the application provides parents with tools to control the list of friends their children can exchange messages with, which can help remove parents' anxiety about using children for instant chat applications.
Facebook also reported that children want to use creative tools within Talk, such as playing with friends or creating masks and sharing them with family and friends as well.
Another programming line indicates that parents' conversations with their children will take place through the Messenger application. But using the application does not require an account in the social network, meaning it will be separate in one way or another.
Facebook is seeking to compete with Snape Chat again, with more than 158 million active users per month. Which reflects the prevalence and importance of instant talks that disappear after seeing them.
The social network refused to comment on whether or not the application existed. The presence of codes in the official Facebook application does not mean that Talk may be a 100% product.
