LG G6 Plus and G6 Pro Smartphones to Launch Soon in South Korea

At the MWC 2016, LG launched the LG G6 flagship smartphone as the successor to the semi-modular device, LG G5. While the LG G6 lacks any modularity, the company even ditched the removable battery feature to make it both water and dust resistant. The USP of the device is its 5.7-inch Quad HD + display offering 2880 x 1440 pixels with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. Now, the company sees to bring in more variants of the LG G6 called as LG G6 Plus and G6 Pro. While the exact changes made for these variants can not be confirmed now, but leaks reveal a couple of changes.
The LG G6 Plus is said to come with 128GB of onboard storage and might support fast charging through Wireless charging. Samsung introduced the fast charging through the wireless charging with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones. It might also come with the Full Vision display as seen on the LG G6. While there is no confirmation, we expect the company will pick the 10nm Snapdragon 835 SoC instead of the year old Snapdragon 821 SoC. This device is mentioned to cost KRW 999,000 (approx $890 / Rs. 57,500) in South Korea.
Talking about the LG G6 Pro, it will come with just 32GB of internal storage. It might even come with a lower resolution display and a smaller camera. Both these devices will be running on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and should receive the Android O once it is publically released. Even the LG G6 launched at the MWC 2017 came in two variants, the U.S variant came with 32GB storage and wireless charging whereas the variant launched in Asia sports a Quad DAC and doubled internal storage of 64GB.

The LG G6 sports a glass back body and missed the removable battery. It is also IP68 certified making it the water and dust resistant. As said earlier, the device sports a 5.7-inch FullVision display with Quad HD+ resolution. There is are dual 13MP sensors on the rear with OIS 2.0 and super wide angle view. On the front is a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 100-degree wide-angle lens. In India, the device was launched at Rs. 51,990 and is now retailing at just Rs. 41,990 after a discount of Rs. 10,000.

While the LG G6 Plus and G6 Pro are expected to launch soon in South Korea, there is no information about the global launch of these devices. Having said that, how many of you would like to opt for Snapdragon 835 powered LG G6 Plus/Pro instead of the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy S8 Plus.
