There will be 9 models of new AMD Threadripper processors
The new details that have emerged today confirm that AMD will work on many models of new Threadripper processors. The old information was that Threadripper will include a number of models but now it's confirmed by the latest leaks we can say are reliable.
So far, according to information from the AMD conference, we know that these processors will be launched later this summer and will be in a range of 16-core and 32-channel processors. Intel will also be able to provide 64 tracks for PCI-Express gen 3.0 across all its models, whether 10 kernel or 16 kernel, while Intel processors can only provide 44 PCIe tracks.
Another feature is that all Threadripper processors will support Quad-channel DDR4 memory, while new Intel processors such as i5-7640X and i7-7740X will only support dual-channel ... For more details on these features that will cause Intel's problem see this article Entitled "AMD THREADRIPPER processors with 16 nuclei appear at the AMD Conference within COMPUTEX".
The information revealed by the ocaholic site confirms that there are nine models of Threadripper processors that will work on motherboards on AMD X399 chipset, a whole new sukket, because of the size of the huge processor chip template ... as seen by the image taken by Arab Hardware ... The processors are:
All the processors will support multitasking, and there are processors that will support the XFR, which will allow the processor a good 200MHz frequency boost, but most of the good. As previously reported, all Threadripper processors will come with 64 PCI-Express gen 3.0 and quad-channel DDR4 . On the consumption side you will notice that some processors will consume 155 watts, some 125 watts and one only 140 watts
