Google has banned 2.3 billion ads and suspended 1.5 million applications and 28 million sites from advertising use
Google today announced that it is strictly adhering to the advertising policy and that it was hit by an iron fist on the advertising section in 2018. After recent problems due to the quality of the ads and the way they appeared alongside advertisers' complaints, the company blocked billions of ads and stopped millions of sites and applications from using their ads .
The company says it has used automated reviews through its machine learning systems as well as manual reviews to detect ads and the entities it offers. Where the company stopped 2.3 billion harmful ads, according to them, all contrary to the policy of advertisers that put them and harm users, and the company talked about tracking the sources of ads to stop them completely.
For its part, Google has monitored all sites and applications that display ads and attempt to profit illegally from its advertising service or in violation of the policy of use, and subsequently banned ads for 1.5 million applications in addition to 28 million sites and a page.
In this regard, the company announced a new tool for advertising management and policy that will be launched in April to help publishers avoid ad problems.
It is worth mentioning that the advertising department is one of the most important pillars of the company's income, as it achieved 32 billion dollars during the last quarter only.
